The Boden spring catalog arrived about a week ago, and I enjoyed browsing the British company's offerings. I discovered MiniBoden, the kids' clothing line, while searching a children's clothing message board devoted to cute boys' clothes. This fall, I splurged on a Boden shirt for my 3 year old son and now I'm on the mailing list.
Boden's catalog is clever. Inside the front cover are 16 little sticky tabs for readers to mark their favorite items. Love it. (And I used them all.)
That said, I will probably not buy from the spring collection. I'm waffling. Usually not a catalog shopper to begin with because I'm picky about fit. But..... these are some of the pretty things I have flagged and just may succumb to. The catalog hasn't hit the bin yet.
I was hoping to capture pictures but no luck, so here are links to some of my favorites (or is that, favourites.....)
Fun Necklace -- I love this, it's creative but I'm not sure if I have the presence to wear something so bold. It would be nice for work. I'm sure my baby would delight in pulling at it. I love it and the outfits in these photos too -- pants outfit, bright cardigan
Button-through Chino Skirt -- I think this would be a nice summer skirt. Here's another -- Canvas and Denim Skirt I'm definitely hunting for a basic casual skirt this year.
Silk Trim Scoop Neck -- Nice detail. All these things I would save for work, not around the house.
Grainy leather handbag -- beautiful but spendy. Diapers and wipes would fit!
Big button shirt -- I love this in green. Who knew big buttons and contrast stitching would make a difference?
Oh, Boden. Thanks for the inspiration. It was a fun trip through your catalog.

Oh, how I long to buy something from them. They are expensive and I have no idea if the clothes would fit. Yes, tempting...
While I like looking at the catalog, in reality, even the things I picked are things that I probably don't *need*. I feel so much secure getting items in person, even something like that necklace. And it's such a waste of time and money when you need to return something, even when there's a shipping deal. I tried my luck with a beautiful blouse from Ann Taylor for the holiday party and in real life it was a disaster on me. I'm trying to remember that as a lesson learned!
I knew exactly which denim and canvas skirt you featured before I even clicked on the link! I love the look of it, but it's a little out of my price range, so I'll be seeking something similar at Target or Old Navy.
That necklace is nice too. I like bold, interesting pieces like that as well.
